Acts of Tenuous Subversion Week

jay: so, acts of tenuous subversion week starts today
jay: it would have started monday, but starting on tuesday is an act of tenuous subversion
jay: my act today will be moving the antibacterial soap
jay: in the workplace’s bathroom from the right of the faucet to the left
jay: …so it’s harder to reach
jay: considering most people are right handed
jay: this is completely not the utilitarian ideal

leah1: haha
leah1: huh you know i had never really thought about it
leah1: i think i tend to keep the soap on the left for whatever reason
jay: are you lefty or righty?
leah1: righty
leah1: i think i just like the way it looks better
jay: maybe you like the exercise
leah1: also in the bathroom there is a wall on the lefthand side of the sink so maybe it will fall less.
jay: actually, i bet i have it wrong
jay: because you probably pump with the opposite hand
jay: so that you have the correct hand to apply the soap
jay: to whatever
jay: …no
jay: i definitely have it correct
jay: i’m pumping imaginary soap at my desk
jay: pretending the soap is on the left
jay: it’s much less satisfying this way
leah1: also, i usually pick the soap up
leah1: i think
jay: well, that’s just crazy
